As one of the most widespread spreads in the world, it’s favorite not only in the Middle East and the Mediterranean, but also throughout the Western world. Hummus is, logically, often on the menu of famous world chefs. There are almost no famous chefs that do not appreciate and do not use this food.
We have been hanging out for a long time with Jamie Oliver, so we know that hummus is one of the favorite foods of his family. He says he has been eating it ever since he was a child and remembers that his father brought hummus from a nearby Turkish specialty shop to combine it with grilled meat that they grilled in the backyard. He launched countless recipes for hummus and, although his most famous recipe is for basic hummus, he often plays with it. Thus, on one occasion, he recommended that chopped black olives should be added to the hummus. We tried with our pumpkin hummus, and that’s👌
Gordon Ramsay, on the other hand, has his own recipe for hummus and it is a more piquant variant. The secret is in a mixture of spices, previously fried on teflon. He mixes pepper, ginger, coriander, mustard seeds and – to our surprise – cinnamon and then adds them with milled and mixed leblebies. We tried it, as well – part of our team mixed natural hummus with coriander, and the other part with ginger, because we did not want to mix all spices. For anyone who likes stronger tastes this can also be an interesting combination. We are glancing cinnamon and leave it for some other time. We’ve already eaten cookies with natural hummus, we’ll try this sweet combination and let you know about it.
